Essays in Sustainable Development

The Declaration: The ULSF newsletter is a 12-page publication published three times annually which highlights member activities from around the world in the areas of curriculum, research, operations and partnerships.

Previous issues of The Declaration featured initiatives at ULSF member institutions in Australia, Brazil, Colombia, England, Mexico, Russia, Scotland, South Africa, Thailand, and the United States. The Winter 1998 issue features an article on the University of Colorado's transportation system, a partnerships piece on the Green Star program and Northland College, an article on the environmental curriculum at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico, and a look at Australian National University's Earth Charter initiative. Each issue contains a wide range of resources including books and publications, grants and funding opportunities, multimedia sources, Internet sites, and helpful organizations.

The Declaration is available as part of the ULSF membership package. Non-members may also receive the publication at the following annual subscription rate:

$10 US for subscriptions anywhere in the world.

Earth Ethics is the award winning quarterly journal of CRLE. A subscription is $12 per year ($20.00 per year to become a Friend of the Center). The journal examines the values that underlie relationship with the natural world, and reports on events and actions that support our evolution toward an Earth community. Recent issues have focused on global ethics and the Earth Charter, and the 1997 International Conference on Spirituality and Sustainability in Assisi, Italy.

Earth Ethics is a resource for tesching environmentalism, ethics, and sustainable development in higher education.

Essays on Sustainability: The ULSF Secretariat publishes a series of "white papers" on topics ranging from global climate change and human rights to innovative pedagogy and progressive university purchasing policies. Essays are written by prominent international researchers, eduators, and authors.
