The Fourth Annual Roundtable Symposium of the North American Alliance for Green Education This year's theme will be Environmental Stewardship. This yearly event brings together students, faculty and administrators from member institutions as well as professionals, activists and organizational advocates in the environmental movement. The event also gives students and other participants an opportunity to present their own projects and papers as well as participate in a variety of workshops, field excursions and other activities. NAAGE is a student guided educational consortium with a vision of education nurturing the development of pro-active community members capable of creating a sustainable balance between natural and social ecologies. NAAGE was designed by Prescott College students in 1996. The mission of the NAAGE membership is to diversify opportunities for students by collaborating on educational programs in a diversity of bioregional contexts. Training for the Promotion of Sustainable Development Focused on European Integration for Better Quality of Environment and Human Life. It is intended to be not only an opportunity to exchange methodical experience between experts of different specialties, but also to develop the co-operation between scientists and practitioners so as to allow a better use of the current developments in science and technology for the improvement of environmental quality. A combination of presentations (reports and posters) and round table discussions is planned. The Higher Education Network for Sustainability and the Environment (HENSE) Fall Conference In conjunction NAAEE's 29th annual conference (October 17-21, on South Padre Island, TX), HENSE will hold a daylong conference on October 21st to celebrate this new network, recognize accomplishments to date, clarify HENSE's organizational structure, and discuss its goals and future tasks. In continuing support for HENSE, NAAEE has agreed to provide their conference venue as a context for HENSE participants to gather for their own purposes as well as to link with other environmental educators to advance the cause of HENSE.
